What does a tib bar do?
The tib bar is an essential piece of equipment to include in your fitness routine if you’re looking to strengthen and condition your knees, ankles, shins and calf muscles.
Named after the tibialis anterior, the muscle the tib was designed to target, the tib bar contributed towards reducing knee and ankle pain that occurs as a result of long-term wear from running, sprinting, jogging, walking or jumping.
The best exercise are tib bar raises, in which you slowly lift up the weights using your feet and then back down to floor level. You can do this in sets; for example, 3 sets of 8 lifts, or as many as you can manage if you’re focusing on injury recovery.
